Kaylee's New Room

We have been wanting to paint Kaylee's room for a while now. So Steven spent all one day working on it. We painted it white and purple and put a princess border and princess stickers on the walls. She loves her new room. In fact for the first few days we couldn't get her to leave her room. She was so proud, she kept pointing to the walls and saying daddy did it. If anyone comes to visit she makes sure that is the first thing they do is go and see her room. So thanks "dad" it looks great and your little girl loves it.

Halloween only 3 weeks Late.

This year our ward was doing a trunk-or-treat, but we wanted Kaylee to experience Halloween how we did growing up. So, we decided to take her down to Steven's Mom's. This way she could go with Aimee. Aimee as you can see was a Halloween witch and Kaylee was, yes, Cinderella. For those of you who have been around her lately know that this is no surprise. She is very obsessed with "princey's" as she calls them, especially Cinderella. She calls herself the Buno Princey (she can say blue but chooses to use Buno instead).

Here is a picture of her by herself. As we were trick-or-treating she kept trying to run from house to house because she was so excited unfortunately, her dress is a little too long so she kept tripping. We worked with her before Halloween and taught her to say trick-or-treat. So at each door, and about every 5 seconds she would say tick-or-teat it was pretty cute. The houses that had dogs she was a little scared of, but I don't know who was more scared her or Aimee. After about the tenth house we were starting to get cold and her bucket was full, so we decided to go back to Grandma's house. Kaylee's bucket was so full she was almost dragging it on the ground. But being the independent girl (at 2 uh-oh) that she is she would not let anybody carry it for her. All-in-all we had a great night and look forward to next year.

Carving Pumpkins

Steven and Kaylee with the finished product. Kaylee couldn't understand why we put candles in the pumpkins and then turned the lights out. Here she she is being forced to smile.

Kaylee only wanted to keep the lights on. So here they are in the light.

After a lot of convincing she finally let us turn the lights out. She sat there like she was watching a video. After that she wouldn't let us turn the lights on.

Kaylee helping me carve my pumpkin. This is her pretend smile when we catch her off guard.
Kaylee wasn't quite sure about pulling the seeds out at first. But after awhile she discovered that it was fun after all, pulling one seed out at a time. Needless to say, we had fun. Too bad Kaylee didn't discover how fun it was until we were just about done.

Here Kaylee is wandering too far down the corn row. Needless to say she found her own way through the corn maze.

Kaylee, Steven, and I went to a local corn maze that was part of Utah State University's homecoming week. Kaylee wanted her picture taken in the corn so here it is.
